Welcome to the Defiance County Memorial Airport

The Defiance County Memorial Airport is a vital doorway to our community. Annually there are nearly 17,000 arrivals at the airport and the economic impact of the airport operations to our community is over $4 million per year.

Current construction at the airport to relocate taxiways will allow future runway expansion to 5,000 feet; thereby increasing annual operations and economic impact to the communities in which we serve.

In 2014 the Ohio Department of Transportation Office of Aviation conducted a study in partnership with several consulting firms to determine the economic impact of airports throughout the state. Defiance County Memorial Airport is considered a Level 1 General Aviation Airport; the highest ranking for general aviation airports. The study also showed the economic impact from the Defiance County Memorial Airport: 113 jobs and annual economic output of more than $11 million!
