America Recycles Day (ARD), HELD YEARLY on November 15, is an opportunity for communities, organizations and schools to participate in a National recycling day.

America Recycles Day (ARD) information was also distributed to local schools. Fairview Elementary offered a poster contest for America Recycles Day. Fairview Elementary had 201 students participate in the contest with 9 winners. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places were awarded from each grade; kindergarten-1st, 2nd – 3rd, and 4th – 5th. Kim Beek, teacher at Fairview Elementary informed me that the student’s posters adorned the halls and also were posted on the school district website.
